Should be available sometime around the end of this month to early next month. :)

Nadir's service is very good! I have done 3 or 4 orders from him and have no complaints. Remember there is about a 15 hour difference in time between here and there.
If you order several at once, you will really save on shipping. Shipping single parangs about doubles their price.

hope this helps!

Hmm. I know they're in the process of adding some stuff, so that may have something to do with it. If they aren't in stock now I'm sure they will be shortly. :)

Fortytwoblades, is one class act. Helping someone find a blade he does not have in stock yet.:thumbup:

I'm just all about helping folks find cool stuff. If they can get it from me that's just a bonus! :D

I an not sure what 2012 Condor I am going to get yet but I know where I am going to get it. The lochness is looking good.

That's an unusual finish. I would worry about the pits becoming rust spots (granted it is already carbon steel). I have a bead finish Gerber LST which shows this...

They already have the black heat treatment scale plus a forced acid patina on them. I wouldn't be too concerned. But if you really feel super worried about it a can of clear spray lacquer will take care of that li'l issue no problem and keep it looking nice besides. ;)

From what you've said, it looks like it's just as rust proof as the plain coated ones... thanks for the information.

No not quite--but it has significantly reduced susceptibility to rusting compared to freshly exposed steel. I'd say it has about 70% the rust resistance of the epoxy coating. If you're using it frequently, though, an epoxy coat would be wearing anyway. :)

I was going to say that Condors are meant to be users, so rust wouldn't really have much time to pit on the blade anyway. Just using it would get rid of the rust. Either way, I love the look of them. Just my style.

These are rare as hen's teeth! Has anyone at BF managed to get one yet? I was hoping to pick one up for my birthday but that was a month past! I've see one on ebay but the guys charging a hefty mark up compared to the "coming soon" price listed on most of the knife retail sites! I guess i'll keep waiting.......

i have one. well worth $40.

the handle could be sanded a little better but that's about the only thing negative i can say about the Parang itself. its a little heavy but i wanted heavy for this item. the sheath is pretty lame, flimsy and extracting the blade from it can be tricky as it sometimes get "stuck" and takes some finagling to get out.

i was looking for a short swinging machete that was a cross between a hatchet and a meat cleaver... the VP works well and is a keeper.

Interesting how folks have been complaining about the sheath on that one. Condor's sheaths are usually pretty darn good for machetes, so I guess I'll just have to see when I finally get some in.
