I was at Blade last Friday and picked up one of the new Condor Nessmuks. I usually lurk here, but I figured you guys would appreciate a few quick pictures I took. Haven't had time to get out and use it yet

I can't wait to get my hands on this. I normally do not like nessies, but this one has my attention.

Lookin' sweet. I might have to get one myself. When you get a chance to use it, take lots of pics, and let us know how you like it.

I wonder why they can't seem to deliver these? These have been a long time coming. I have purchased several good nessies since i first saw these advertised.

Welcome Howitz. Oh boy, did you scoop a pile of people with your pictures and score. Excellent :D :D It looks better than I thought it would. It looks really good. The sheath is a real surprise to me. Is it leather or vinyl? I'm hoping its leather.

I know they were ramping up production, but a lot of companies wait until the big shows to release the new items. I for one will buy one just because I think Condor is a company that has listened to qualified and experienced end-users and have responded accordingly. This in my mind makes them a damn good company. I don't even have a single Condor blade yet, but several on the shopping list. I know Joezilla was able to test and provide feedback which I value highly. I did some T&E for a few items as well...Novatac sent me a few LED lights when I was in Iraq to test and allowed me to provide honest feedback and evaluations. I applaud Condor for what they have done and that they have showed they can offer low-cost items that appeal to real outdoor users. That's a win-win situation for us! It does take a little patience though:D

Nice blade! Since you're a lurker, I'm not going to send you a bag of poop as I promised I'd do to those who didn't take pictures at Blade.

I have six or eight Condors and they have been well worth the money. It is however hard to figure out why, with the economy they way it is, that someone would set on a product that is obviously in demand.

The sheath is leather, not high quality, but leather nonetheless.

I have a few. I made the mistake of wearing a Photography Staff shirt when I went to the store, I shoot for my school paper... Some folks were keen to talking about photography, others cast the evil eye my way. I decided the just put my camera away and carry on. I was scolded by Mike Fuller at the TOPS knives table for "not asking first" (I asked his partner, he was in the middle of a sale when I walked up). haha

Nice! The sheath looks to be the same top-notch leather that their machete sheaths are. I, too, am not normally a huge nessmuk fan, but I NEED this one! :D

I never got the whole Nessmuk obsession but I've still wanted one, even though I'm not a traditionalist. There's no excuse not to get the Condor version, though!

I've been checking their site for the past week 1/2.. anxious to get my hands on some of their new models.

That nessy looks great too! :)

I dislike the large flat area before the edge, I would prefer that to be smaller and more usable edge put there. Otherwise I like it.

Really.

Same could be said for the Spyderco Bushcraft.

They started talking about making one more than a year ago?

In the meantime custom makers have stepped in and more than filled the demand at a lower price.

I mean I'm actually glad for the custom makers because they are getting all the profit but it seems like with the exception of Bark River no knife companies seem to be able to respond in a timely manner to the rise in popularity of certain types of knives.

Just got this reply from condor

We have just started production should be in stores in about six weeks,
check back, Thanks, Rick

I agree, but I also look at it this way: At least it's not a choil. It won't be that hard to reprofile.
