Condor Nessmuk

I know they were ramping up production, but a lot of companies wait until the big shows to release the new items. I for one will buy one just because I think Condor is a company that has listened to qualified and experienced end-users and have responded accordingly. This in my mind makes them a damn good company. I don't even have a single Condor blade yet, but several on the shopping list. I know Joezilla was able to test and provide feedback which I value highly. I did some T&E for a few items as well...Novatac sent me a few LED lights when I was in Iraq to test and allowed me to provide honest feedback and evaluations. I applaud Condor for what they have done and that they have showed they can offer low-cost items that appeal to real outdoor users. That's a win-win situation for us! It does take a little patience though:D

ROCK6

Hey Rock and everyone else,
When I designed these blades (of course based on classic designs) and went to El Salvador to talk to and show them what we all needed, I worked with them to figure out how to go about doing these in a way that would bring the price point down....but the hard part is getting little things perfect to make sure that when we take them out side, we will like what we get!
Like a Mora, I want someone to be able to depend on these. Most of the delay has been my pickyness with edges, quality, and sheaths that you will like and have fun using.

Orders are being made with the large distributors now.

You should have seen the first Golok...it weighed two pounds!

can you give us a heads up as to who might have them on pre order but legitimate not sites like notyourmama or bladekrazy??? or would that be dealspotting

Thank Joe, I think that's what is so great about Condor is that they are willing to listen, make adjustments and really keep the price down with a quality product. That's why Mora is so successful and I see Condor edging into that arena. I've blasted off an email to Knifecenter and SMKW asking them when they were getting the new Condor products shown at Blade:D:thumbup:

On another Condor related note, we just got in our order of machetes at the shop yesterday (not the new stuff of course, but they're still great!) and I noticed that the blade thickness of the Bush Knife has been increased! It's even more like a hatchet alternative now! I'm glad I got mine when I did because I love how light it is, but...it makes me want to pick up one of the heavier, more chop-crazy ones too!

around $30-$40bucks. Everyone can own a nessmuk now!

what is the purpose in the design of the edge not coming closer to the handle?

also, what other designs are there? I have been looking for a decent, but very inexpensive, full tang 'bushcraft' style blade. I have tried a nessmuk, and its not really my thing, so i was really interested in what other small knives are going to be in this new line

thanks

They also have a bushcrafter design and a leuku/puukko type knife.

I will be trying some of them out as I really like the Condors that I have. They have all been well worth the money and great values. I have plenty of Nessies and such but it's fun to try new ones.

I dislike the large flat area before the edge, I would prefer that to be smaller and more usable edge put there. Otherwise I like it.

I agree with this. Why can't we find blades that begin at the handle?

For that price, I might finally try out a Nessie, see what all the fuss is about.

Here's a few action shots. Sorry I didn't get more.
I really like the knife so far. Wish the blade went all the way to the handle, but I'll probably end up fixing that at some point in time.
I find the handle very comfortable, if crudely finished. I'm a fan of a wide thin blade, so I've been liking this knife...

I'll try to get them to take it back to the handle, or atleast closer to the handle. The originals were like that.
