Condor Scout Hatchet Review

Thanks for the info!

I've been sawing with my bahco peg teeth blades (the blades weight 1.75 oz each) on a takedown bucksaw. I really like a good splitter at that point. The mini http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...mbining-with-the-Knife?highlight=mini+hatchet has been part of my "non work edc" because it can actually split quite well, yet the head fits in my pocket or a small edc pouch.

The new profile looks like the husqvarna hatchet bit. How well does the profile split? most of my axes (except the hawks) are convex or wedge like (fiskars).

I have no idea how the new profile splits, as I have yet to get my hands on any. The original version splits quite well, though.

I'd like to check out some of condors stuff, especially that first double bit. Nice to see a company adapting to feedback, too.

Awesome--I think you'll enjoy it as much as I have been. It's like a sharpened feather but when you give it a good rolling snap of the wrist it bites deep!
