condor survival craft knife

Nope! :p Though it looks much better in-person. You don't want it to look too pretty anyhow--this baby's for using!

That is the way I look at it. I don't really care if it is pretty or not, as long as it works as a user.

As for the mora being a toy.. I love my moras, and wouldn't consider it in anyway, a toy. :)

+1 for this.

I've got some photos of the Survival Craft but they'll take a while to upload. Expect them tomorrow!

Thanks! It'll be helpful to tide me over until I get my passaround Survival Craft. I'm loving my 1/8" 2011 Bushlore, but it's full tang and heavy!... I'd love the same functionality with less weight but I'm worried about the ergonomics.

How is the grind? My 2011 bushlore had a significant and not fully sharpened secondary bevel that took a good 45 minutes to grind down to a scandi zero grind on a coarse stone. Now that it's mirror-polished and razor sharp, I love it. I can't wait to try out a survival craft for backpacking/bushcraft when every gram counts.

Yeah I've let Rick know about the not-quite-a-true-scandi issue. Fortunately they aren't too tremendously off the mark, though.

Here ya' go. :)

Hey guys, I'm updating the list now and will let everyone know soon.

Joe

Yes it is fugly. The handle came from a banana knife designed for all day use. It took a little time to make a blade that would work for stuff that didn't look like an ice pick!
