Confession: Buck 112 does more.

I dont have a 112 but have an old 110 and this titanium handle Buck 186. Great knives all.

I EDC(Every Day Carry)a 110 with a S&W(Smith and Wesson) as a CCW(Concealed Carry Weapon).

AAF(Acronyms are fun)! Please note the correct way to use them above. PM(Parentheses Matter), but are only necessary the first time the acronym is used in a document.

So they really only save time if you are using them more than once.

Acronyms are used broadly today. So much so that they become words themselves. Then they get used in places they don’t belong. Then you have posers who try to use them to sound tough without even knowing what they mean. Remember school is out.

Like the OP(Original Poster) saying.

“I’m not an everyday carry guy. (I carry a gun)”. When read out loud without the acronym. The sentences make no sense.

I recommend if using acronyms either typing or (proof) reading to say the words. This will prevent any misuse and the ensuing confusion.

Most definitely (this is important)......

If you don’t know all the words don’t use the acronym.

English class is over. Go back to summer vacation.

But Society for the Preservation of BarberShop Quartet Singing in America is such a mouthful compared to SPEBSQSA, which is sometimes pronounced "spebsqua" but usually just rolled out letter by letter.

Like is said parentheses the first time then you can use the acronym all you want.

Your point is noted. Sometimes they are necessary.

There is a road in Concord Ma. Called simply ORNAC turns out it is supposed to be Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. But the sign is too long.

I’m not an EDC guy. (I carry a gun). This knife, however, cuts really nice
I'm still honeymooning with my aluminum framed 110, but I love my 112s, even the heavy brass and wood model. They can do it all except reach the bottom of a peanut butter jar; but if that jar is plastic, it can cut it halfway down so it can reach!

My first NIB Buck was a traditional 112, an engagement gift from my best friend. I used the heck out it and still go to it occasionally. It's a winner! Now we need pics of what you do with yours.
