Last year around halloween I really started to get into Game Wardens. I was so excited to carve a pumpkin with this sharp magic knife, I threw common sense and knife geometry out the window and dug in...

...Well this GW was a fatty...and wasn't razer sharp and it got a little stuck and I pulled and I pulled... and it came free... and caught my finger. A huge stream of blood resulted, lots of embarrassment and an admonishment by my girlfriend that she gets to approve all knives used in pumpklin cutting.

I'm looking for suggestions. I now have a serrated smog which ought to work pretty good... And a shiva which seems like it would be a pumpkin piercing/sawing machine. I also have a few midsizes and a NMFBM which im dying to slay a pumpkin with.

What do you hogs suggest? I'm open to picking something up, but i cant imagine anything would work better than the shiva, even a cultie.

Please weigh in! I'd like to keep it infi and sub $500 but let me know!

I like the cultie shiva combo. I can suggest a SJTAC, badge, or even a skinny ASH, in the mid sized realm.

Gotta say I agree with the shiva/cultie combo! :D Can't go wrong on those sneaky pumpkins with that duo!

I don't own one but based on looks the shiva seems to be the best for that task

And, the good news is that the Satin + Pumpkin (Orange/Black G-10) version is in stock at our favorite place for self-gratification (aka, BCS).:thumbup:

you can only carve the proper pumpkin with the permission of the

"Cult"

Cult approved

I like the pictures you bunch are much more creative then i would have thought...

Edited to add, I have a nuke EDC too, but im not sure that will do as well...

I don't have pictures, but a few years ago I did a Charles Manson pumpkin. I used an old "Charlie don't surf" t-shirt as a template. I'm not joking, it made little kids cry.

Basically I traced this picture and cut out all the white parts. I think I'll do another one this year just for kicks.

A Skeleton Key would allow you to do some very fine cutouts and the blade is long enough for the job. Plus a great name for the event. Top knife.

You beat me to the Skeleton Key recommendation
