I'd go with a cold steel pocket bushman folder and the clip point leatherneck fixed blade. The pocket bushman is a steal. It'll see you through a shitstorm. But that's just what I would do if I had 150 bucks to blow on knives :thumbup:

At your price range, I would look for a used Commander or CQC-7.

The simple answer is get a CQC7 for your first knife. The difficult part is WHICH CQC7....Mini? Full Size? Super? Plain or Serrated edge? Wave/No wave? Stonewash/Black? There are a TON of options.

I also really, really like the CQC7v if you can find one in stock.
