hi all, i recieved my zdp endura from new graham today. both the knife and new graham rock. the knife is numbered 102v. ran a search about numbered knives and i'm confused. does it mean that a member of the collector club sent this knife back and it was resold??? im sure someone out there must know, thanks in advance, high

It may mean that collector #102 declined to purchase that particular model, an option which NGK is gracious enough to allow their CC customers. It may also mean that NGK holds CC #102. Several dealers have a few CC numbers, thus ensuring they will always receive at least a few pieces of every knife that comes out.

Hi,

this was answered a few hours before, but I just can't find the thread right now

a) The big resellers do own some of the collector's club numbers to make sure they get at least a few of every model, often sooner than the unnumbered ones.

b) The second possibility is that this specific number isn't occupied by anybody at the moment so they send it out just like a unnumbered knife.

EDIT: Ok yablanowitz, you beat me :-) (did it really take me 5 minutes to answer!?! Shame on me)

High, The Witz and Murdoc are are correct. We have several numbers that we reserve for ourselves so we can get pictures on the site. Sometimes a collector declines an offering for one reason or another. These are then sold.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Mike
