Confusion about bladehq.com

Hey everyone! Just had a quick question I would appreciate some advice regarding. I have been researching different online knife retailers to acquire some trusted stores I could use in the future. Bladehq.com has been recommended by many on the forums but I'm somewhat confused. I have noticed some knives for sale on their website that do not seem to be originally manufactured. For example, I saw a fully gold colored Kershaw leek and one with Damascus steel. In addition, I have seen some ZT knives that do not appear to be on the official website. Any suggestions as to what to think of this? Are these types of knives fully legit? Are they original manufactured models? After market configurations? Thanks in advance for the clarification everyone :).

Ya those knives are legit, usually special runs done in limited amounts

Everything's perfectly fine

Part of why I love them so much is how many discontinued models they will carry, and its great for looking up old models. The damascus/gold anodized ones were manufactured, they've just been out of stock for a while

The thing to be aware of is that they use one pic for the same model, even if the looks of that model vary. That doesn't matter with most knives, but might if you're buying a CRK Sebenza with wood inlays and want to know what the inlay is going to look like.

As said, those are limited runs, and quite collectible. BladeHQ is legit. As the guy who makes their knife videos would say, "Nice, very nice."

Excellent point. I've learned the hard way to ask if they use stock photos or if the photos are of each knife shown. With wood grain, it can make a big difference, as stock photos always show the best example, not necessarily the one you will receive.
