Page (sunshadow) hasn't been around Bladeforums for a couple of years, but many will remember him. He is a fixture of the Ashokan Seminar.

On Wednesday's Forged in Fire, he was the champion. With a combination of luck and pluck he made it to the end. There were several bad choices ( water quenches and wrong geometry) and function issues with the other smiths blades, and fewer with Page's knife and sword. Overall, he did good. His main strategy was not trying to make a show knife, but instead making one that will survive the tests.

Good job, Page!

I told Page that in segment two I usually am yelling at the TV, "Grab the Micarta. It is tough and fast to install and shape." Who cares if it is ugly ... it is tough and has a good grip. Save the pretty stuff for the knife shows, use the tough and ugly for a $10,000 first durability challenge.

Well I guess I get to know who won before I watch it:rolleyes:

Really need a spoiler alert in the title

Thank you everyone! Looking forward to the "cutting deeper" re-edited version this week before the new episode
