Aaron Wilburn became a Master Smith and won the B.R. Hughes award at Blade. I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron and seeing his MS test knives at Blade.

Folks, these are some very fine knives. You can see pictures at the link below. Although the pictures are much better than anything I could take, they still do not do the knives justice. You really want to hold these knives in your hand and inspect them from all angles.

If you get a chance to examine his knives firsthand, do yourself a favor and take advantage of it.

I have a damascus Wa Gyuto from Aaron that is absolutely first rate,a functional beauty.
 
Aaron is a sick, sick lad. Most people go crazy over making one quillion dagger for their MS judging and he showed up with two!!!:eek:
 
Got to see some of these in person. Great knives and some fantastic steel. Aaron's a good guy and a star maker.

The B.R. Hughes award was well deserved!

Aaron did a great job, beautiful knives. Going to have to watch his daughter Francesca also. She had a knife she had made and it was nice. We always enjoy seeing them. Congratulations again Aaron.

I saw all of the knives, and had a good chat with the man as well.

The knives were world class, as is the man!

He is a fellow northern CA guy, so I plan on visiting him soon:)

What an experience and to share it with my daughter is a memory I will always cherish.
I met so many fine people that share the passion we have for knives it made for a great week end.
And thank you to Haley D. it was a very positive experience for Francesca to meet you .
