Brian told me he was working on something, but didn't say what. I'm glad that it worked out so well for him: it's about time.
 
Ah crap. If he's reviewing for a mag now, and does them as well as he does here, there'll be a shortage of whatever knife he reviews.

It occurs to me (as it sometimes does at times when things occur to me) that we haven’t yet heard from Mister Mistwalker about the wondrous thing for which he’s being lauded here on this board.

Can it be that he doesn’t yet realize that his fame has spread so widely (31 posts, so far), or is he just modest and shy? Could it be that he doesn’t even know this thread exists? Does he even know that there’s been talk of Dragging Monkeys bandied about? Oh, there's been talk, lots of talk.

Where are you Mist? Come on, tell us all about it. You’re among fiends ... I mean friends ... here, and we’d all like to know.

In any event, congratulations once again — for whatever you’re being congratulated for.

so whats all the hubbub about? we've ruled out drag queens (although Joe and Mist dressed in drag would be freaking hilarious!), we've ruled out monkey relations, whats left?

I had to get off the notebook to address this, fat fingers/tiny keys and what have you lol. You guys are freakin hilarious!! I shudder to imagine the Russian Gulag in which I would have to be incarcerated in order to win a drag queen contest...especially after the guys got through beating the h#ll out of me to get me in the dress. Kilt yes..dress nooooooooooooo.

After submitting some other things to Steve and finding out I was either late or there was no interest...Steve approached me about doing this project last summer. I had a blast but I haven't seen anything other than the PDF file proof and a paycheck...I have yet to see what it looks like. I'm still waiting on mine to come so I guess I'll look for it at a local news stand while I am out today taking pics down town.

As far as being put in front of anyone goes I wouldn't read anything into that at all...I may be new at this but I'm pretty sure that's it's a "department" thing and that's all. I really don't think I rate being put in front of anyone.

Well, we have a pretty good idea but — until Brian himself gives us the details — we won't know for sure. We need to get it straight from the monkey's mouth, so to speak.

Well, I didn't want to go that far, but now that you've posted the pic...

I have to say that that's truly alarming. Those earrings ... sheesh. I would have thought that Shango's would have been more appropriate, but I know nothing about fashion.
