Congratulations - Tom Ferry Mastersmith

I appreciate your enthusiasm, and recognize that Tom Ferry is a very, very good maker, one who makes great steel.

You just happened to mention his name compared to some GREAT makers, two of the very best.

Time will tell if your prediction is correct, and I for one, have no problem if that turns out to be the case, in the next 6 months or 6 years.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Yes I did, and I knew that there would be those that would think I had stepped over the line. Heck, maybe I did.

Another heartfelt congratulations to Tom Ferry and the rest of the fine makers that received their MS this year.

I can attest to Tom's skill in forging damascus, having been lucky enough to pick up a gorgeous damascus bowie of his in Atlanta this weekend.

Again Tom congratulations on your Masters
It was good to see you again and to meet your lovely wife .
I also think your work is the very top shelf ,and I have watched them all ,
been in this a few years .keep up the good work .

Thanks for the compliments and congrats everyone. I am still trying to comprehend the whole weekend, its kinda all a blur right now. It feels good to have achieved my MS, now I can pursue new directions and ideas without feeling restricted.
Thanks again.

Congratulation Tom,

The pictures of your knives are jaw dropping. You are a very talented knife maker with a keen eye for damascus and design.
I bet you will be busy the rest of the year. With the BAKCA show and the classes at Sierra Forge & Fire.

Tom,

Your test knives absolutely kicked @ss, imho. Congratulations!

It was a real pleasure to finally meet you in person and I look forward to doing more business with you in the future.

Best,
Peter

Congratulations Tom, you made some excellent steel for your knives. Congratulations to Jackie and Courtney; they get their husband and dad back after swiming in a pool of stress for 6 months or more.

John Christianson from Montana, Tom's cousin was also awarded his Mastersmith ranking and received a prestigous award. There will be alot to be proud of at this years family reunion...Ed

I rarely post anymore, usually just lurk. Seems like you can't post anything without someone being offended or offending someone. But I'm coming out to say congrats to Tom (and Jon) as they're work is deserving and I'm not a bit surprised they've been awarded MS stamps.
P.S. Thanks for posting a pix Chuck
