Congratulations

Seems like "hkyew" wants me to stop talking favorably about Lynn. Therefore, it stands to reason that hkyew is trying to get me to start talking badly about about Lynn, instead.

If I was talking to hkyew right now I'd thank him for his suggestion but say "no thank you." Hkyew is free to do as he pleases, but there are obviously much better places for him to denigrate Lynn Thompson than the Cold Steel forum.

Good thing I'm not talking to hkyew right now.

Still just mumbling to yourself? Yes.

yep larry is a troll.

It's not like I implied that Lynn managed to convince his staff of this through hypnosis. (Having said that, I suggest we not rule it out quite yet either, if you catch my drift.)

So we are to infer that Lynn Thompson used his powers of HYPNOSIS to convince the knife world that he did not invent the Demko Triad-Lock. Fascinating.

One theory holds that Lynn ...

I think Rev summed up your "theories" quite nicely in an earlier thread...

Well, that didn't take long, lol. But for future reference, conspiracy theories belong in this section. Specifically ones that have no evidence at all, in this case even a weak ass wikipedia link would suffice as a talking point. Random thoughts ≠ provable facts, unless your random thoughts are specifically about the facts themselves.

"this section" being Whine & Cheese, to where that earlier thread was moved.

Dear Cold Steel fans, sorry about this guy. We roasted him in General, which got him moved to Whine & Cheese, and now he's decided to come lower your property values by moving here.

Please refrain from jumping to conclusions about Lynn manipulating people's subconscious through powers of hypnosis. Yes, maybe it is (highly) plausible. Please stop, nevertheless.

Look, there's more to life than living vicariously through Lynn, like going for a nice walk or trying on clothes that make you feel good about yourself. Too bad these things get old very quickly, and before you know it you'll be focusing on Lynn again.

You'll get no argument from me that Lynn is a good role model who lives a (very) highly adventurous life. I suppose Lynn is someone I look up to in one or two small ways. For instance, Lynn knows how to blend in with indigenous people in distant lands and hunt dangerous animals with blowguns and whatnot.

Luckily, I know how to reorient my priorities and focus on things other than Lynn. That said, it's about time we refrained from talking about Lynn Thompson. This situation will not change (until another announcement is made indicating it's time to resume Lynn talk).

IF CS wasn't at shot I have no doubt this would have been shut down a while ago. Clearly a troll job.

Please relax, UnWiseFool.

One theory holds that Lynn really invented the Tri-Ad Lock and then cleverly induced the entire Cold Steel staff to believe that Demko actually did, just to build up Demko's confidence. Hypothetically, that was very kind of Lynn. I can't say it's a completely unreasonable theory. So who knows?

I hate to tell you how innovative Lynn is. If he wanted to, Lynn could have invented the Tri-Ad Lock while standing on his head. (He probably did.) Lynn is actually what you call a "mover and shaker."

Look, no need to argue about it. I suggest we just go with the line we've been fed about Demko inventing the Tri-Ad Lock. Until further notice, anyway. Fortunately, we can always change our opinions as we get new evidence (from our own observations).

And to further the point....does Andrew know this?

Go get em Larry!!!
Your posts are solid 14k GOLD brother!!!!

Either Larry has one of the most interesting senses of humor on these forums, or either he s really screwed up and I m really screwed up.
Come to think of it, I m probably pretty screwed up.
Can help it. I was born that way.

You are, in NO way you are half as screwed up as old Larry brother!!!!!
No way!!
Joe

Not being half as screwed up as Larry still leaves me a lot of room for being screwed up.
Why am I enjoying this thread?

Demko definitely invented the Tri-Ad, no two ways about it. We're all for giving credit where credit is due.

This may be the most confusing thread I've ever read. I should have stopped around post 6, but I thought I'd try and make sense of things. Now that I've read all of it, I'm even more lost.

I'm.. Just.. So.. Freakin'.. Confused!

Larry had that effect on many people. I'm not sure what he was smoking, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't anything remotely legal. :D

Andrew Demko invented the Tri-ad lock while studying the banana groves of southern Guatemala, in an attempt to harness the properties of extremely powerful steel.

(Thanks for the clarification and for being a good sport, mod)
