It's congress madness here this Sunday! I found this couple years old thread and decided to bring it up in the hopes that others will continue to show off some great congress knives.

This Boker 6006 was waiting for me today and just as expected.... It's fantastic.

It doesn't have the fancy swedge or long pull like the Primble, but I can't seem to find a half congress in this size in the available boker catalogs, so it's a special order anyways.

Awesome jigging. (Still like Primble better)

The Boker 6006 has been fully sharpened and ready to tackle the day. Can't wait to break it in this week. (I can't bring myself to really use the Primble)

This next one was also waiting for me. Oh.. that shrunken mother of pearlish plastic and the mall ninja blade etch are both a bit rough... As far as the quality of the knife, however, it's darn nice. Well put together, no gaps, pretty much flush, smooth and snappy... A+ for Buck Creek. No half stops though. This one is probably going to get recovered and used in lieu of the Primble. It's like a blank canvas with those nice big bolsters too... Hmm...

Just a little more meat on the blades and a tad thicker than the Primble. Very nice in hand.

This is fun. Boker definitely has my attention.

I love a 2 blade congress (I think its my favorite pattern) and that boker is fantastic!

Thanks! The two blade half congress is where it's at!

Most of the ones I've seen seem to be a little smaller but the Primble Boker and the Buck Creek are 3 5/8". A nice size!

Schrade experimented with Stainless Steel, back in the late 1920s - early 1930s!!
Short-lived experiment, but a nice knife - I wonder how the steel performed?? This one has too much historical value to experiment with!!Congress SS 1.jpgCongress SS 2.jpgCongress SS 3.jpg

Here’s the Congress that was in the waiting room in my Grandpaw’s pocket when I was being born. I’m really glad to have this one! I hope some day somebody asks me how far back I go with this knife just so I can say… All the way back!View attachment 2279159View attachment 2279161View attachment 2279162
What an awesome family heirloom that 6-blade congress is!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

I'm out of town for a couple of weeks at a cottage we rent on Lake Huron in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. While I'm away, I typically "suspend" my normal weekly knife rotation schedule, and instead just choose a bunch of knives I want to take with me for one reason or another. So I was happy to see this thread come up, since a couple of the knives I took with me are Rough Rider smooth tobacco bone congress patterns (thanks, ED), one large (4.125" closed) and one medium (3.625" closed).

Charlie, how many Bunnies do you have in your hat waiting for you to show them??? 🤩🤩🤩
I was thinking the same thing. I know if I posted about some obscure but real knife pattern Charlie would post a fine example, or three. It’s amazing.

Little bity IXL. Love it. 3.125". As requested in the blade, it has been oiled. Took about a second to make it razor sharp. Good knife! These covers are not white but my camera won't show the detail. Its smooth but sort of a cream color with light wavy lines through it. Acrylic? Plastic? Not sure

Schrade cut co again just because I absolutely love this thing and haven't put it in the thread.

Robeson 643777 is a 3 3/8" redbone congress.
This one definitely rode along with someone for years but the blades are fairly full. Shield is MIA which gave me a chance to test underneath and it is bone. The red is darker in real life, the photos make it look very bright for some reason.

I like Robeson to begin with but seeing this one has sparked interest in finding a really nice one for the pile.
