Nice to have someone close. Read everything you can in Shop Talk, especially the "stickies." That will give you a good basis. Wheere are you in your knifemaking interests and what are you interested in learning (making)?

I am in the wow that looks like it would be a fantastic use of my spare time.. let's go broke making sharp and shiny things! phase haha! I've been watching a lot of videos on line and seems like something I'd like to do!
