Connecticut?

Oh yes :) I was excited to get it. Recently won a "no name" connie that cleaned up to be a light logo Collins Leg. stamp is not great but quality is there. I never use the software, not against people using it, just do not like the feel of it myself.

I lost a Plumb Rafting last evening by 1.00. Sort of cool to feel like only me and one other schmuck in the world was going for it!! LOL! Somebody had to come in second.

nice! i have that exact same connecticut i think-- true temper flint edge with no mention of kellyworks? does it have the forgers marks on the bottom of the poll?

::edit:: was yours harder than a rock to file? i can barely put a grind on mine it is so hard. i would suspect work/grinder hardening, but the thing was N.O.S.

hey double ott, i have come across a couple axes like your registered, where they have the True Temper script, but the rest of the ax seem older than the post (1950?) True Temper era.

most recent that comes to mind was an OLD.. W.C. Kelly Perfect Charleston VA michigan, that had the same MUCH later True Temper script on the reverse side. i have the exact same ax, but without the True Temper on the reverse side. i dont know what to think of these axes. the logos dont jive.
