Considering a Fixed Blade

consider a stainless steel izula in 440C steel. or a folts minimalist by CRKT. or a Cold steel pendleton mini hunter.

my folder but the lock is becoming more and more of a nuisance – it always seems to be sticky, even after having the manufacturer "repair" it twice.
Is there a fixed-blade... a higher-end stainless steel like 154CM or S30V?

Thanks!

I have "semi-quoted" your post.
Your folder's lock should NOT be a nuisance. Get rid of it and buy a different brand. Since it's been repaired twice without satisfaction, I think...KNOW... you need a new company. I have owned and used many models by Spyderco and CRK. I suspect your knife is not one of those brands . I've seldom experienced a sticky lock in any brand...although I have owned one or two...briefly... :)
There is NO excuse for NO repair... IMO.

...and I might suggest CPM-154...the much-advanced powdered analog of the previous 154cm...
"Same makeup, different manufacturing process -- 154cm is a traditional ingot steel, cpm154 is a particle metallurgy steel."

I have two Spyderco Paramilitary 2s. They both have sticky locks but one is much worse than the other. I keep the knives clean as a whistle and they still experience stickiness. Either by some one in a million fluke I bought two faulty knives or I'm unknowingly doing something wrong. I considered getting a Sebenza but I'm kinda fed up with locks. I've sent both PM2s in for maintenance twice, I was told they had been repaired, but they still had issues.

I know it's probably not the most recommended blade since you would have to wrap the handle and craft a sheath, but the Spyderco Swick 3 is a heck of a lot of S30V for very little money.

I love my bk24 but had to splurge for a sheath from Azwelke. Handles help too so factor those in the cost along with the tdi clip. The d2 they use really takes a keen edge with a strop. Carries as good if not better than an izula and you get a litte more blade.

The Izula and BK14 are both 1095 and you want 154CM or S30V?

But seriously, 1095 is fine. If you really want stainless, the Izula is made in 440C. There are also a ton of customs/non mass produced knives out there.

I can't give any testimony to this knife as I just ordered it but it looks like the perfect edc fixed.

Heyyyyy! I was gonna recommend that one!

The Urge is a fantastic EDC knife, but it's the complete opposite of an Izula or BK14, which were both intended to be neck knives, IIRC.
