Considering a Nessmuk

Since folks are bringing up the CBK's in this thread, I will add this; I have sold my nessmuk patterns since acquiring my CBK's. Similar but, to me, a more versatile pattern.

The CBK is my go to woods knife, but the baby CBK is my favorite. Such a cute and comfortable little bugger.

Thanks for the CBK pics. Looking good. I would think the Canadian would be better at more point work.

Would a scandi grind work well with a nessmuk? On another note, which JK model do you recommend best suited to basic bushcraft tasks-- i.e feather sticks and some batonning?

Perhaps I'm a bit biased but, I can't imagine a better bushcraft knife than the Rule #9. I love the CBK and Nessmuk but when it comes down to cutting, I grab my R#9.

I have done a couple of 1/16" thick Nessmuk style knives with my scandivex edge, they worked well. Most of the Pocketmuks were scandi. By no means do I consider myself an expert on bushcraft, but I will give you my thoughts on what I models I feel would work well. I used to make a Bushcrafter, like every other maker, but realized it was just a name, most any knife with a reasonable length blade and handle, made out of thinner steel, will work. Anyway, here are my choices.
