Considering an umnumzaan...

I have both the Umnumzaan and Sebenza, but carry the Umnumzaan more. To me it's the perfect EDC, big enough yet not bad to carry, easy on the pants also. It's tough enough to go to work or hunting. You won't regret getting either one but for me the Umnumzaan is perfect.

One preference for the Sebenza over the Umnumzaan is the ease of field-stripping it. The Umnumzaan requires a special tool and you need hard-to-find loc-tite on the pivot. (the only place I've been able to find the low-strenght loc-tite is online)

Another is that some people don't care for the ergonomics on the Umnumzaan's lock-bar.

Just as an FYI blue loctite is available at most any hardware or automotive store (Lowes, Home depot, cost less auto, schucks, autozone, walmart, fredmeyer...)

But CRK specifically recommends using purple Loctite, which is very hard to find in local stores.

Hold on! Small Umnumzaan? Is it confirmed??

That's definitely not confirmed. I am the unofficial leader of the 'make a Small Umnumzaan' movement here and I have been waiting more than two years for one to be released.

Chris said in an interview that a Small Umnumzaan would come even before embellishment options for the Umnumzaan, so I keep thinking it will be sometime soon. Then again, it's been more than two years already...
