Considering selling everything off to get a Sebenza

Crazy? I own over 60 Busse's; CRK's; Becker's; Hinderer's; Strider's; Grayman, and other brands. I may not be the one to judge your sanity. And yes, I have bonded with every single one of them. Mainly EDC the Seb 21. Good luck in your decision.

I believe it's worth while to sell off your collection to aquire a CRK you really want. In the long run you will probably end up rebuying those knives that you truly miss. I did something similar and now have an Inkosi, Large mircarta 21 Insingo and a Insingo pro soldier.

I do hope that they offer a Insingo Inkosi at some point I would buy one in a heart beat. One thing you should note is that the Inkosi is a bit thinner behind the edge near the point than a small 21. A small 21 Insingo is thinnest behind the edge, for me the Inkosi has been a good meduim.

I was in a similar situation a year or two ago. Now have a rotation of 14 GECs, looking for my 4th CRK, and have a hinderer and a few others in the mix. Still looking at selling stuff off for more higher end stuff.

I am a fan of Sodbuster-style knives and have a pretty good GEC collection as well. Bought my first Sebenza, a Small Insingo, in May and have managed to acquire 10 more Sebenzas in the last 6 weeks. Be careful my friend. :)

Exactly what I did. Sold off around 20+ knives from my collection. Replaced that with 5 CRKs. Much happier now.

A Sebenza is nothing more than a fancy knife. I have some and I do think they are pretty much the best overall knife made. BUT! IMO it is wiser to have three good knives than one Sebenza. "Buy once, cry once" has never been my experience with knives. Haha.

I envy people that are content with their one knife and find it to be perfect. With that said, the small insingo is perfect for me.....now. It is a great knife, but I seem to be on quest for the holy grail, and this goes for more than just knives.

I will not own another small Sebenza. I love the craftsmanship but the knife was to small for me. Hopefully I'll own a large some day but I sold my small. I carry a ZT 0566 so I'm used to bigger knifes.

DO NOT compare the size of slips to that of modern folders. I had to learn that the hard way. Totally different territory IMO.
So you know what I mean...
My favorite joint is a 77 Barlow while my favorite CRK is a Large 21/25.

It's hard to explain BUT you'll thank me later. Having said that I've been wrong (once) before. [emoji6]

Right there with you on that wtlj. My ideal carry is a GEC 85 and a sebenza 25

Great idea. Don't let some of these others discourage you. If you want the Sebenza get it. I only have one Sebenza, and I'm quite content. It's a forever knife, and should easily last you the rest of your days barring loss.

I say go for it. I think everyone should experience a sebenza at least once! It may not be a great knife for all, but I think it is for most. Finely crafted folding cutlery at its best!

(Not to argue with you, just to add to why he should consider one).
I'd say a Sebenza is more than a fancy knife. Sure there are Unique Graphics and Damascus blades to add to the classiness, but the knife itself is a simple and extremely well built tool. I carry and use mine on the daily because I know I can depend on it. The superb quality is definitely worth that premium. 1 Sebenza > 3 $100 folders IMO.
