Constitution's Second Amendment

i was just sitting here drinking and fondling one of my pet colts and wondered... do you think we will ever loose our right to arm bears?

,

I wish I had a pet horse. If I did though, one of those cursed bears would probably shoot it. And then eat it.

It is imperative that everyone vote this year, that is for sure. I like my bears armed too.

Obama's speech in Germany:
"This is the moment when we must build on the wealth that open markets have created, and share its benefits more equitably. Trade has been a cornerstone of our growth and global development. But we will not be able to sustain this growth if it favors the few, and not the many."

Socialism refers to any of various economic and political concepts of state or collective (i.e. public) ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods and services, some of which have been developed into more or less highly articulated theories and/or praxis. In a Marxist or labor-movement definition of the term, socialism is a stage of society in transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done with the goal of creating a socio-economic system in which property and the distribution of wealth are subject to control by the community.

I don't think we'll lose our right to arm bears. Although I'm sure the P.E.T.A. people would certainly like to legislate against it. Even in Japan people can still arm bears.......

As a side note...anyone who knows how to do a youtube embed willing to send me a pm about it? I have no trouble with photobucket, and I've seen some embeds from youtubes on the boards...I just don't remember where they were, so I can't go and figure out how it was done.

As far as the 2nd amendment goes...I have lived most of my life expecting to have the 2nd amendment pretty much completely revoked. The Supreme court's recent decision has given me much hope as far as that goes though. We'll see how the laws on the books hold up over the next few years.

I agree Obamination is bad news, but if we think that McCain (you know the guy that tried to flush our sovereignty down the toilet and destroy our ability to remove people in America illegally) would protect the 2nd I think we would be sorely mistaken. Besides the Recent Supreme Court ruling gives government the right to create laws restricting your right. Doesn't anyone else get a sinking feeling bout this? They always tout open ended rulings as pro-gun. What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" needs interpretation? I for one will not be fooled by another candidate that compromises our right to defend ourselves. We cannot ask our boys to protect and defend our constitution (against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC when our leaders clearly do not take their oath seriously. I for one, will NOT be fooled by 2 party politics again, too many of our soldiers in our history have died for these rights to let these rights be SLOWLY ERODED. Which is exactly what is happening. Feel like the proverbial "frog in a pot"? I know I do. I myself will be voting Constitutional Party. The "Lesser of two Evils is NO LONGER acceptable!!!. What do they want us to do, fight with our BEER ARMS? guh Sorry guys for the pulpit, but this stuff really needs to bother more people or were just done.

No....but I think they will do everything to "price" us out of it. :thumbdn:

Anyone can legally fight to stop or create a bill/new law but how many of us know the "ropes" or have the money to do so? :grumpy:

The whole thing sucks and has alot to do with the complacency of many Americans who just don't want to get involved. Most of em are just too busy watching 200 channels of cable.

The recent supreme court decision on the subject makes that a more distant probability than it had been recently. Even the descenting opinion was more geared towards an argument that for the "greater good" it should not be recognized as an individual right rather than an argument that it was not written as an individual right.

WEll said my freind....well said.

I think it would be pretty hard to do at this point.. Even if only 1% of gun owners decided to put up some resistance and stand up for the constitution it could be anarchy. Just look at one guy with a rifle did in DC. Hell the whole country was gripped in fear..

if a bear fires his gun in the forest, and there's no one around to hear it, will it make sound, and if so, should the bear be wearing hearing protection?

it was 2 guys but true enough
but you can also look at what several guys did in planes on 9/11, or what one guy did with fertilizer, nitromethane, and diesel fuel mixture in Oklahoma.

The plain fact is that if you want to introduce kaos, there are many means, only one of which is guns. I think the more important point here is that it is a foothold, once that foot is in the door, you can forget about it all. Hunters think they are safe, when "semi-auto" assault rifles are banned because it does not affect them. This is not true.

I don't have a problem with the bears in the wild being arm'ed. I'm don't think the one's in the Zoo's should be armed though.
I don't think McCain would have a problem with it either.

ps- we rarely see a Bear around here or I may think diff:p

panda bears are vegan's, it might be ok for zoo panda's to have some guns... koala's too

.

I dunno--pandas and koalas are vegan in the wild, but how long would that last once they're equipped to harvest other zoo animals? And then what? If we're not vigilant, they could soon be brandishing Busse's and sporting speedo's...

Not anytime soon.Still too many people that would "Rise Up" ;)
