hey i guys first i just want to thank you all for the great ideas i get when i post, and then iw ant to thank all the guys who post all the questions i never think of.

so here is the question. what do you think about using the 10 inch grizzly contact wheel for making a NWG. its 65 bucks. compared to the beamonts its dirt cheap. for the cost of a beamont you could buy the pulley from grizzley and a motor. any reason why it wouldnt work?

thanks again

jake

I think that the grizzly one will have to have go on with pillow blocks or have bearings bored in.

oh yea it doesnt have any bearings its litterally a drive wheel isnt it. dang it. everythime i think i get something figured out....... well duh to myself

thanks

jake

Jake,
Don't let it scare you off. My local machine shop bored and pressed in bearings (their own) on a 10" wheel for $30.00 while I watched. I was in and out in about 40 minutes. Most of that time was jabbering with the owner. Saved alot $$$$$$

That is pretty cheap considering you could buy the pillow blocks for more than $15 each.
