Contact wheel perfect!

What is the most used contact wheel in your shop??? 8" 10" 12" 14" etc. SMOOTH OR SERRATED ??? What is the best durometer ??

Serrated 8" wheel because it's the only one I have!!!! Seriously though, I want a 10" or 12".

That's my only wheel too !! I love the look of. Deep defined hollow grind but would be willing to try others!

Bought the wheel from Bader. I actually live between Pollock & Ball. I'm 7 miles north of Pineville on US 165.

I was born in Natchez too. At the Jeff Davis Hospital. Rayville is about 2 hours northeast of me.

I can't put a specific size to it. I use 8" smooth 70 durometer, 10" serrated 70 durometer, and a 14" smooth 60 durometer. If I had it to do
over again the 10" would be smooth too.

What's the advantage of the smooth? I know the serrated runs cooler and cuts faster.

I much prefer grinding on the solid wheels at very slow speeds with fine belts.
