I am going to have my 8" SMOOTH contact wheel re-rubbered. My serrated wheel is R50. I am thinking of getting a little softer R on the smooth wheel. Agree? Disagree. Opinions please.

A question and a thought . Where and who is doing the rework ?
From what I have read 50 durometers is the least for metal . I just put a 50 on my machine and I do like the smoothness but I do not like the softness . I put my 70 serrated ( which is worn out ) back on .

I bought a 14 inch Bader wheel last year at the Guild show and went with
a 60 durometer smooth, usually I ground on 70 serrated I couldn't be happier
with the 60 smooth.

I recently bought a KMG with a 8" serrated wheel. I have never hollow ground will the serrated wheel work ok, even on the finishing. I have always flat ground, and like to mirror finish. Any help and or opinions on what to do would be appreciated

Does anyone have a price sheet on CRC and others? Am looking for the best prices for wheels. Thanks.
