Hi All,
Something a little different this week. Getting away from the stacked leather or slabs. How about a contemporary Bowie with an 8-inch blade and custom leather sheath?
Hand made by me of course, now the specifics.
Blade Material: 3/16 ths CPM-154-CM from the New Jersey Steel Baron, thanks Aldo.
Blade Length: 8 inches as I mentioned.
Handle Material: Black Ebony to 3000 grit then finished with butchers wax. Excluding the fittings 4.5 inches long
Finger guard: 416 stainless
Fittings are Bronze not brass.
End Cap: is 416 as well
All ties together with ¼ inch 416 stainless All screw. High temperature silver brazing to the blade. (old school)
Overall Length of the knife is a tad over 13 inches.
Weight is 13.5 oz. excluding the sheath.
Ground on a 10-inch wheel both the blade and the upper swedge are razor sharp. Perhaps one of the nicest knives I have made to date. No wait thats wrong. The last wo pictures are of a Viking Saxe with a 9-inch blade. That is the nicest knife I have made to date. It is at the sheath makers now so it will show up for sale in a week or two. If you are interested drop me an IM or email to mongrelknives@gmail.com.
So, all that being said if you want to purchase the knife the price is $425.00 including USPS Priority Shipping insured to the U.S. If you are out of the U.S. contact me for the shipping info. Special thanks to J. Dion for his outstanding sheath work. One more thing if you want the knife please leave a note on the thread so I do not get multiple requests. I only make one of a kind knives, no two are ever the same.
Now some Pictures.

Thanks for looking, comments good bad or indifferent are always welcome. Ken
