CONTEST Lets see who the big dog really is.

Congratulations Larry! Like most who responded, I had pieces of the puzzle, but not the whole picture. YOU put it together! Now you can truly say that you have "been there" and have the hat to prove it!

LT! Thanks for the fun. I really did enjoy it. You put my critical thinking in high gear. I just left work... hours standing at a CNC machine....staring at a thousand parts reproduced as accurately as I could possibly do. All that time, I disected your statements, hints, chiding, until I started reviewing in my mind the posts of the past month or so. (under the SCHRADE tang) should have been a dead giveaway. As should have been a lot of the statements you made. Thanks!

Codger da puppy! :D

Congrats Larry........Well done.

Thanks LT, from the respondent who precipitated the clue........that's right folks, the wolf was not howling good......but, I enjoyed the education. :)

Now I'm......ready from the next lesson. Could someone send me one of everything to study?.....(massive, shameless knife hustle).

Bill

Congradulations Larry!

Oh, I was so close on the first one. I got the 153's right, but thought it was 165's instead of 160's.

My second answer was that while I thought there were two basic patterns, there might technically be three (Note to self: remember the K.I.S.S. rule in future contests.):o :footinmou

My third answer was that what was or or wasn't etched on the blade would be different. I was thinking special additions.

This was fun. Thanks for the short diversion Richard!

Larry, you ought to be a Proud American, congratulations.

I spent some time surfing around searching for Schrade fix blades with trailing points, I did find some 153 pattern and some others that were obviously not those in the picture, the 160 was unknown to me, we just don´t get to see much of Schrade in Mexico. I think this is interesting and fun, I spend much of my time answering emails, diagnosing mainframe problems, doing routine calculations for Data Base designs, at least two long meetings a week and far too much paper work. Along with family and crafts hanging around here is getting a life to me.

So thanks again LT.

Luis

Congrats to you, Larry! And thanks, LT!
I never did enter. I was thinking too hard.
Started about 4 emails... but none were
the right 3 answers.

Yep, this is a life.
