anyone try using a contour flap wheel? for sanding handles

the size is - 8" X 4" X 1"
 
They contour well around steel but in my experience not so well around wood or softer/easily abraded materials. IMO the 1" scalloped belts on a slack platen are about ideal for this kind of thing.
 
I don t like them , small one or big one for fine work . I have no control what they are doing....

Harbeer, I use regular 2 x 72” belts for all of my Handle sculpting. You can split one in two if you want to get into tight spots... I start with a 120g and to 400g and hand sand after that! Stay safe. Have fun!
