Contouring the handle on full tang knife?

Dan, Thanks for that link.. just read the whole thread.. awesome stuff Nick does. Thanks the kind of stuff that gets the juices flowing. I'll spend some more time on YouTube tomorrow doing research.

JK, I'll have to put in another order for some belts and I'll give those a shot. Just got about 12 of different grits on Sat to see what I like for what. I also chopped off the right side of the stock platen so I could get the belt right to the edge. I did notice it has quite a bit of flex so I'll have to go back to Lowes and get some stock to beef it up before attaching the glass I have coming this week from USKM. But having that belt right on the edge now I was able to do contour work on some wood and blade blanks.

HOLY CRAP! He contoured the blade with a grinder, and that's not a thin piece of steel. wow.

After fixing my platen, I was able to do this too. Worked pretty well and pretty clean. But my little 1/3HP grinder didn't do it with quite the speed. :-)
