Just wondered why so many knife makers use bright/contrasting liners...

If it wasn't a high contrast, what would be the point of a liner?

It can draw attention and accent some file work. Potential buyers that are used to boring factory made knives really take notice of knives with a little color accent. Also if the wood you are using is not really highly figured the colored liner gives the knife a little bling and it also accents tapered tangs so the buyers notice the extra grinding. I like to use yellow liners once in a while and others seem to like them too. Larry

My TK-1 mods have blue liners for the handles which match the blue Kydex sheath . I'm happy with it !!

I've had many customers turn their nose up at orange g10 spacers with desert ironwood or Koa until they see it and then love it and want it. Same with blue g10 with dark woods like Blackwood or even black micarta. I mean why does a red Ferrari look great with yellow break calipers?
