Ron,
First, I want to thank SOG on taking care of a warrenty problem I had last fall. Secondly I've another problem: I've got a Stingray that the kraton scales got stickie pretty much on their own as the knife hasn't been near solvents or DEET. I sanded the tops off the diamonds and that helped some ( I was able to keep the knife stuck to my hand without wrapping my fingers around it). I would like to know if the scales are just glued to the frame or what? I would really like to use the knife more, but not when it's like rough flypaper. So I plan on changing them if they are only glued.

Hi Dan,

Sorry you're having some problems with your Stingray. The Krayton slabs are glued into place. We would replace them for you if you would like to return the knife to us. Some people have customized their knife by putting on handles of their choice.

I'll email you warranty return instructions if you would like to return it for repair.

If there is anything else I can do, please let me know.
