Short and sweet.... I've seen knives made out of saw blades before...
lets assume I was able to find a folding saw with straight teeth ( not offset to each side ) so the blade had a somewhat flatish profile.... Could I sharpen the edge well enough to cut and make the world's nastiest serrated edge knife?..... assuming something for a base for the project like a Silky saw Pocketboy.
Are the teeth only hardened on the exterior? I understand the blade would still be somewhat flexable but in theory.... could it be done and end up with anything this side of trashed junk?
I'd likely attempt the sharpen with a paper wheel setup going VERY slowly so as to not overheat the teeth points....
