HOGS--- I'm thinking of convexing my GW. Does anyone have a pic of a convexed Warden?
Thanks.

I'm on my iPhone right now, but try a search using "Ban" and "warden.". Also, BigFattyT convexed his Warden, and there are shots around of his.

Take a look at the Largoganza HACK pics, they are convex and almost the exact size of a GW.

i redone one for joebobx that someone else supposedly sharpened but i didnt take any pictures. he really liked the knife after i reground it. cjpgeyer might have a few pictures of the one i done for him. you'll like the convexed edge.

here is my GW....thinned out and convexed by BRKT.

nice shot there hobojo....;)

I posted a thread about 2 months ago about when i convexed Hobojo's GW. I believe the title was "Covexed Green linen Fatty GW". I am at work right now on my phone, but Ill post some shots when i get home. i prefer using leather and sandpaper ( i put it over my strop) as the leather doesnt have nearly as much give as a mousepad.

Cheers,
Berkely

I have a convexed pumpkin warden. So easy to keep hair popping sharp with a loaded strop!

You think that sucker is sharp, Ill take some pics of my GL BAD that I recently reprofiled (the one in the previous GW pic)....

nice high polish Fatty there. I really need to get a nicer strop, and get some higher polish compound. Mine are hair popping sharp, and will jump the hairs off with no pressure at all, but they aren't gleaming polished, in the right light you can still see the micro scratches.

Yowsa! that's nice looking! Who did the work?

I did, thank you! :) It actually was a mistake that turned out well, as I tried using an edge pro to thin out the edge, but wound up totally scratching up the flats... So after getting completely PO'd at my inept abilities with the edge pro on this GW, I began to hand sand the flats for HOURS, which began to show signs of convexing at the bevel, so I just continued all the way to the edge. I used it at Fogo's last year, and it was so sharp, that just the weight of the blade itself would push cut the edge through meat as i slowly pulled the knife back holding the handle with my thumb & index finger.

Unfortunately, I have to re-work the edge. I fumbled the knife near a glass table a few months back... Dinged the edge pretty good in the spot where the edge caught the table full on and chipped out a small piece of the table. :grumpy: lolz
