Aside from fallkniven, bark river, and opinel, what other companies have convexed blades? I am looking for a new toy, err, tool for my collection.

Any ideas?
-Cheers

Many Busses are convexed.

What this guy said.

I convex all mine.

Tons of custom makers sell convex knives too. (Many customs can be had for Busse, Falkniven or other production knives prices too!)

Cold Steel sells a few convex choppers.

For lower priced option....condor. not a perfect convex edge on their knife options, but convexed none the less.

+1 on this.
There are a couple of makers here that put convex edges on several of their models and have quite reasonable prices.
2 I actually have experience with are JK & Mark Wohlwend.

See, I was thinking of having my bushlore convexed but I haven't heard back from anyone (probably my fault honestly). So, now I may keep the scandi grind and just get a blade thats already a convex. Since I am a teenager with a low-paying job working at the dog kennel, I'm a little wary on my ability to afford customs. It has crossed my mind alot though...

Here's a recent thread showing some incredible deals on custom blades -- all of these went for well under the maker's standard retail.
He takes requests and may be willing to do layaway. (obviously, you wouldn't get the knife until it was paid for, but you'd know it was there waiting)

if your looking for a convexed folder I know Svord Peasant folders are convexed though they have a secondary bevel that can be worked out quickly

Put an convex edge on blades yourself! If I can do it...anybody can. All it costs is some sandpaper. Get yourself a inexpensive knife with a v edge grind on it, and go at it. Old Hickory might work.

Oh yeah, I made a strop with sandpapers. I carry it in my pack all the time. I just want some white compound now.
I started this out of curiosity of what other convex blades are out there and I got more responses than I expected (wow, I say that alot here....)
Half off-topic and half not, I am looking at fallknivens and (not convex but I could do the edge) and a rodent solution. Thoughts? Concerns? Comments on why I'm so jumpy on subjects? lol

Blackjack knives are convexed and in A-2 steel.
A buddy of mine recently picked one up with stag handles (cant remember the model#), but man it is one sharp blade.

Good one! And it reminds me.....get yourself a BlackJack Grunt. Big hunk of inexpensive convexed steel! Great knife.

David Farmer, maker here on boards. His knives give new meaning to "sharp".

Rodent solution: drop rodent in large jar of 20% HCL... let reaction continue for several days, then neutalize with 1/4 cup NaHCO3. Add several cups of distilled HOH, boil mixture down until it begins to thicken. Test PH and dilute and boil down again if necessary. Allow to cool, then add you favorite distilled spirits to personal taste/strength. Enjoy

The Browning Crowell/Barker competition chopper is nicely convexed.

Note on the Svord Peasant: the primary grind is convex which doesn't mean much. The edge bevel (on mine) looked like it was done with an angle grinder wielded by someone with poor eyesight. I had to fix it on a belt sander. Now it's a true convex from spine to edge. At $15 it's a great practice knife for improving your belt-fu

Cooking with Chemicals with sven56 I presume?:D
