This bushcraft is 3/32 thick and made of L6 tool steel recovered from a vintage 10" table saw blade, the good old kind without carbide cutting inserts. Its blade is 4 inches long, 1.25 inches wide and an overall length of 8.9 inches. I differentially heat treat achieving an edge hardness of about Rc 60 and draw the point back to about Rc55 for higher toughness. The spine is left at a lower hardness for maximum strength. I've incorporated a full convex grind into the knife. The blade finish is a mustard patina that is artistically applied in a leopard spotted pattern matching the lacewood handle and give the appearance of age.

The wooden scales of this knife are Macadamia lacewood that are bolted with stainless steel screws and round brass nuts, Loveless style, to the knives full tang and a brass lined lanyard hole. I feel bolts provide greater strength and durability than pins.

The tooled pouch sheath is made of heavy 8/9 ounce leather.

SOLD Price is $85 shipped in US

I really have started to like 3/32 steel, and this one in L6 should be a great EDC.

Can you tell me if this was forged or stock removal? I am liking this one alot.
