Convexing the High Street

120 is a bit too rough you may wanna start with 300 to 400. u shouldn't need 120 unless you got nicks or damage. nice job for a first go though :)
 
I tend to just need to touch up. I usually just convex slowly over time using the sandpaper technique with the original grind. Why waste steel if it still cuts fine.

For me, I find around 1500-2000 grit works just fine for maintaining a razor sharp edge

I do this as well, then finish off with a strop of green compound.:thumbup:
 
For hand-stropping, I go to 2500 grit sandpaper, then I use Mother's Mag Wheel Polish on a strop.

Finally, a clean strop.
 
The most important part is creating a burr before moving on. You cannot make a knife totally sharp without creating a burr first. You can't "sneak up" on a sharp edge, you must create a burr.

Convex by it's very definition is multiple angles.
