Hopefully I don't get too much gruff here. I've owned a Sage 2 and it's a great knife. But, a small sebbie replaced it. I say you go ahead and grab a small seb if you've been running thru knives. One downside to the sage 2 (at least for me) is that I felt it carried "bigger" than it was/should have. Because of the leaf shape and the spydie hole it really kinda felt bigger in my pocket than I liked, and especially for the blade length.
I actually went in the other direction. I bought a small Sebenza and was really underwhelmed, particularly for the money. Ergonomically I found it kind of awkward, and I vastly prefer the Spydie hole to the slick thumb stud on the Sebenza. To me the Sage is simply a better design for the human hand, even if it isn't as pretty, and I would prefer it even if the Sebenza cost the same, which obviously is not the case. Different strokes . . .
