I have a prodigy and it's a fine knife, effectively the same as the strong arm but less expensive.
A lot of Walmarts still have the prodigy and it's not that expensive.

Personally I would not make the trade, you probably don't need a strong arm and prodigy plus you can just buy a prodigy at Walmart for not that much if you really want one.

^^^^ THIS! Prodigy can be had at wallyworld for under $65.
 
Reasons to keep the 124? One word.... discontinued. And Buck's ongoing support in the form of the forever warranty and the SPA repair option.

The 124 has been discontinued???? Its still in the Buck lineup on the Buck website....

From what I have seen on the Buck website this January, the 124 has been in and out of stock 2 times (maybe 3 ?). Previously there were 44, sold out in 24 hours ish. Now, back in stock again, currently there are 23 left, steadily selling. Get them while you can ?

I received one two days ago and I just ordered another one this afternoon and I just looked, down to 22 now..

Now down to 16....
