Convince Me to Buy a Hinderer

IMO and it remains unchanged, the First Hinderer to have is an XM18 3.5" Spanto Flipper w/Stonewash finish and a G10 scale of personal color choice.
I've said that from the beginning and continue to hold that opinion. :)

Simply......

If you are a collector, Hinderer are beautifull,

If you work hard every day in a safety job, as highway security service or firemen, Hinderer are simply efficient and convenient......

And if you are collector and safety worker, this is your knife.....

totally agree with the spanto flipper part, but I had 2 XM 24s before I ever handled anything smaller...just recently got the 3.5 custom, and I love the feel...but I cant help but keep thinkin I like the 24 even more. its just more beastly, which I suppose has its time and place, but after EDCing the 24s for months n months, Im pretty damn used to that bigger heftier knife...dont get me wrong, I do love the 3.5, but if I could chose my dream hinderer right now, the one thing Im sure of is I'd want a 24 LOL.

sorry rubi, not trying to contest what you said, I think I only feel this way because my first 2 XMs were 24s...one hell of a knife.

whichever you decide on, you will love. I havnt handled a 3 inch yet, but the 24 isnt TOO big for anything, and the 3.5 isnt TOO small for most tasks. but this is all relative. if there was some way you could handle all 3 first, then pick, that would be ideal. but you know, lol. if you were into the ZT/RHK crosses, I heard some of the ZTs are similar in size to the XM24, or atleast alittle bigger than the 3.5 right?

Watch it! Last person that "contested" me found himself back in 3rd grade with Ms. TallyWhacker , sitting up front.

(He actually was already in 3rd Grade but... seating was moved forward) ;)

ALL personal preference. ALL great sizes. It's just what tickles your fancy and I will say that after several years of EDCing an XM - I like each size and style in different ways but honestly, would not give any of them up.

3rd grade again?! I thought the first 9 times were enough! :p. Well said sir, I suppose I havnt had propper time for the XM-18 to grow on me yet! :)

If you don't buy a Hinderer, all the baby seals in the world will be clubbed to death. All the whales and dolphins will become extinct.

Sharks will grow legs and breath air, and bears will be able to drive and use firearms. Humans will no longer be able to use firearms, or drive.

And no more sex.

Did that convince you?

I have never bought one. Though I was able to carry and use one as part of a pass around.

I appreciate satirical humor as much as anyone but does this post actually qualify as that? helpful?

You don't own a Hinderer Knife by your own information so..... I'd have to answer No and No to the above.
Add to that, out of almost 11,000 posts (3 of which were in the Hinderer Form) this was #4 ???

Thank you, But No Thank you.

If saving up to buy one is going to take some time, I say sell a few pieces of your collection and buy a XM-18, you will not regret it.

Like everyone says, once you carry one, you will never carry anything else (well maybe never, as we all love to have a mix of knives). For me, right now, they hit the sweet spot, and just about every aspect of their design and quality is near perfect. You will never look back on your purchase, and think of it as an investment...they will literally last forever and the customer service is second to none.
