Even if I'm late I'll take any opportunity to post my 7. Careful with shipping from U.S, some sharp/pointy objects can carry a hefty customs fee. Where they will check and confirm that YES that object is pointy indeed! Tried to get a Ka Bar on the cheap and those idiots charged me $40
"But clock what about the north american free trade agreement?" You will say from afar
"Is that sheath not made in Taiwan?" I will say rhetorically.
Seriously though. Enjoy the steel. The 7 has been a good buddy to have around.
Yet another sig worthy quote. The BK 7 is a man's knife. Oh sure, girls can use one, but when they put it down their hands smell like testosterone.
Trust me bud, I know all to well about customs feesgavkoo as sent me a knife before (BRKT Bravo Necker 2 with OD and blade canvas micarta handle scales, with original sheath and a custom OD fold over kydex sheath Mike made for it), and there was no problem, because he said it was a gift with a value of $10, and the detailed description of contents was “gadget” lol. I'm pretty sure there will be no problem going over the boarder as long as the customs form says its a gift, with a value under $60.
When I sent my A1 off to Mike (gavkoo) today, I said it was a gift with a value of $50, and the detailed description of contents is “Camping tool/accessory”. I also sent it air mail, so it is checked at the air port, and then flies over the boarder with no hassle.
I have never been charged any customs fee if I use USPS/Canada Post, I only get dinged customs when the sender uses a courier.
