Convince me why I shouldn't trade in my Mora for a Bark River

A2 is no slouch, but 3V is both tougher and more wear resistant. Personally, I would spend the extra 30 or so dollars and get the 3V

There is a reason A2 has been Bark River's go-to steel, and was used by Chris Reeve for his One-piece line, and by Mission Knives for their non-titanium blades. It is a good working steel.

I prefer the A2. It takes a very fine edge and holds it for a good while. Either way Bark River makes great knives that are a pleasure to own and use.

Don't be afraid to use a Bark River hard. It can take it and if you mess it up, Mike Stewart and Co. will fix it.

DO IT... Mora is super overrated, there is a reason they cost $10. There, I said it. I feel better :)

Get some of that awesome A2 and never look back :)

Bark River knives are very nice. Go ahead and get a few of them, use them in the field and see if you gain anything over the Mora. Above all, keep the Mora. My little Mora blades are always ready to do the job at hand and I'm not worried about lending them out either!

I would think the pricing is quite a bit better on the A-2, Rust resistance is probably similar. Mora maybe a good value knife but the pleasure from the Bark River and superior performance - well, you should trade up.

IME 3V is more rust resistant. I have a koster in 3V and it doesn't patina after using it on food like my Gossman in A2 does. A2 is still good for rust prevention but 3V is better.

To the OP. Get it. Like Foilist and some others have said. A cheap knife and a nice knife are both going to get the job done but the nicer ones are "funner" to use.
