I have posted 3 or 4 times today. Each time (including for this post) I have had to enter user name and password. I have entered the "preferences" area and checked the appropriate entries at least 3 times.
Does this keep happening until next time I reboot or is it a glitch ? Or am I, as usual, missing something obvious ?

It must be about a year since I first signed on, BTW.

And, also, forums are showing no new posts even though there have been many I had not seen before.

Problem seems to be fixed....I have been having trouble with Internet settings : Mr Gates keeps changing them while I am not looking.
The proxy setting was turned off and ,when I turned it back on, it was unrecognizable.
Funny thing was : sometimes it worked ;sometimes it didn't.
Is this a Windows 95 thing or a MSIE5 thing ?
My ISP is going to send me a hard copy of what the settings should look like.
