Same. And I obviously turned out ok.

I rarely laugh out loud - particularly when by myself - BUT, Smithhammer this *really* got me howling!!!

Thanks for the giggles!

Hi guys,
One of the easiest ways to cook meat and vegetables outdoors for me is in aluminum foil.
Someone told me that I shouldn't because it is dangerous. Does anyone have any info or thoughts on this?

While I don't have scientific evidence/data one way or the other I have been using aluminum foil to cook in, on and off, for over 30 years. I typically toss in some ground beef, cubed potatoes, diced onions, some butter and add some salt/pepper to taste. I then double or triple wrap the whole mess and set in the hot coals.

The 1st wrap/layer is usually heavily blackened/burned, but the inner layers remain in good shape. I eat the contents from the foil and so far have experienced no ill effects (at least noticed by me or those around me).

However, I may reference Smithhammer's response in post #7 as I may have been inadvertently affected yet somehow remain unaware..... :D
