Couldn't find any lighter fluid for the charcoal so i decided to use my forge instead, figured it was safe cause its propane. Has any one else done this?
Jalapeno cheddar kielbasa.

They were great, and it took only a fraction of the time it would have taken if i cooked em on the grill.

Maybe it is just me, but I would have balled up a piece of newspaper and started the charcoal. Burned Kielbasa with Fibers from the insulation doesn't sound better or appetizing to me!

Seriously, the heat is too high to properly cook wursts. There may be things in the exhaust from a forge you don't want to ingest, too.

To light charcoal, ball up a piece of newspaper, pile the coal above it and light. It works even better in a "Charcoal Chimney" which is just a #10 can with the ends removed, and holes punched around the base rim. No lighter fluid taste.

wow, i will definitely use the news paper next time, my forge has a cement lining, but i dont think i want to risk eating ceramic fibers. lol. thanks for the tip.
