Cool article in Combat Knives

In Miami, also the Barnes and Noble on Kendall Drive and 79th avenue carries most of the knife magazines. A boat will get you there nicely today. Remember it is a NO WAKE zone.

Alex,
My mileage varies in picking up a knife magazine at the two stores. If I want Tactical Knives, since my subscription lapsed, Barnes and Nobles is usually better. When I wanted a copy of The Backwoodsman, May/June, Vol. 20 No.3 1999, to read an article by Christopher Nyerges, entitled, "How Big is Your Knife," I found it at Borders. I had been informed in the thread that mentioned it that it could be found in Barnes & Noble, but they maintained that they did not carry it. Perhaps the magazine selection varies by region and the periodical manager. Borders found it by looking at their list and then taking me right to it, NOT near the knife periodical or outdoor sports area. It was a good thread, but I cannot locate it now. Snickersnee had some good comments about his Chris Reeve Knives - Project 1.

I picked up this month's Combat Knives at Barnes and Nobles. Definitely better than the past two issues, but there were still plenty of the chicken-**** type articles that I dislike. On the other hand, there were a bunch of very nice articles that I'd like to see continued -- Janich's article on the theory behind his Tempest, Bagwell's article on the bowie, and others. And a nice article by bladeforums member Anthony Lombardo on lock types.

Combat Knives was the first knife mag I read. I found it very interesting and it had a good article on Chris Reeve. That lead me to purchase a Sebenza and I know have a Project 1 and Mark VI on order and am checking into a customized Zulu trio. This is not to mention all the other blades that I have since bought or ordered!
