Have not made this design in a few moons. Went back through the archives a bit to find it. I have done other pieces that are subtly different to this. I think its a practical design that feels fantastic in hand, and looks good to boot. imho. Hope you like it. My lousy photography does this knife NO justice.
Blade is AEB-L .115 thick and 3. tip to bolsters. O/A is 7.125. I heat treated it with tips from Devin T, and it takes a great edge thats hair popin sharp. Polished, and hand satin finished with 2000 grit. Ground by hand with 10 in. wheel. Swedge grind is also 10 in. by hand, and eye ball. Tang is tapered, and hollow ground leaving approx. .125 flat from edge in all around.
Bolsters are black G10 held tight with .093 bronze welding rod.
Handle is Green G10 with thin fiber liners, Pins are Brass with black G10 inserts. I make the inserts using my hand drill and flat platten on grinder. Sort of a poor mans lathe. lol. They are VERY secure, and will not come loose.
Sheath is hand tooled and hand stitched 8-9 ounce leather. I use the Loveless cam lock idea so the knife fits very secure yet is easy to withdraw.
Asking (sold) shipped Priority insured USMail in the USA. my paypal is warrencustomknives@yahoo.com
Thanks for having a look see. Alan
