Cool Case

Hey nifrand, have you got any idea how often Case makes a piece of this quality?
I don't know much about it, but have always wondered if this was the kind of stuff from the collectors club.

I have wanted one of these ever since you posted the original pic and this one will be a "safe queen", at least for a while.

Case has made 4 of these in as many years (about 1000 each year).
First one was a slim-line trapper.
Second one was a bull-nose trapper (like Rem bullet pattern).
Third was a single blade hunter.
This years offer was one like nifrand's.

The blades are the only Case knives I know of in ATS-34.
They can be found at many case dealers and on ebay.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll have to be on the look out for these as well.

Be careful down there in Bolivia, and don't drink the water.

Tony Bose was at the Case/Zippo show last summer in Bradford Pa. He had a display with two prototypes for knives to be made the next 2 years. One may have been a stockman and the other a senator . Can't remember exactly.
What got my attention was the saddlehorn trapper he carries. If ya thought the Csae version was nice, well...
He told me the scales were from orignal Remington factory stock. What a beautiful piece of work.

Someone asked if there were any other makers that had this pattern. If you go to www.worldknives.com there are quit a few there...Particularly the Sheffield of England and they are all nicely priced. Also that site has the largest stock of folders with true stag I have ever seen in one spot.

Regards,
Steve

Sweet site you posted, but now I see 2-3 more knives that I want! Wife is gonna kill me if I keep buying like I've been.
Those Roselli's look good... anybody else have one?

Hey guys, check out the Taylor Eye Witness from Sheffield at the above mentioned site. Looks the same as the Case/Bose pruner, but done in good looking stag, with a carbon steel blade and brass butt plate. And priced right at $70. They suggest it functions as a "mushroom collector". Cool knife.
