This is the first time I have seen a display like this and maybe it is normal but I thought it was cool. I was at the local drug store with my girlfriend looking at their nick-nacks and stationary when I spotted this display. I don't know how they are on prices but it is cool to be able to drive 2 minutes down the street (or walk) and see quite a few Case knives in person that you guys have been talking about.

My girlfriend snuck in one of the shots. I'll let you guess which side of the display she was on lol (I'm in my twenties).

Used to be fairly common to see that type of display, not so much anymore. Thanks for posting, and good hunting!

I´ve seen such a display already in the Case catalogue. But never in real-using. For sure, here in Germany something like this would be completelly unbelievable. Most people here know nothing about the US-traditionals.

Thank you for showing this off!

Kind regards
Andi

I'm just bustin' your chops and I don't want your lady friend to kick my butt. :D

We have a little supplies store not too far from home and they use an old Case display for their knives. It's one of the only original things in the store, it's nice to see.
Thanks for sharing your pics with us, I see one or two that I would like.

Now, that's a sight for sore eyes. I remember when they were as ubiquitous as obese people at Walmart in all the sporting goods and hardware stores. As far as I know, there's only one left in my area, and it's in an endangered species ma 'n' pa hardware store that probably won't outlive its ancient owners. :(

I've purchased several. Overpriced by internet standards, but more than compensated for by the warm fuzzy feeling of supporting a dying breed brick 'n' mortar hardware store. Hell, the olfactory stimuli in that place is almost worth the additional cost all by itself.

Johnny watch your words about my girl. She may be old but she's fiesty ;) haha. Clearly I was with the one on the right but maybe one of you old codgers would like a shot with the one on the left? Haha

Very nice! You used to see displays like that all the time, but not so much nowadays, unfortunately. I can vividly remember drooling over similar displays as a kid, when my granddad would take me with him to the hardware store.

I too go out of my way to buy from brick and mortar stores, especially for traditional knives, and especially for Case. Nothing beats being able to sit and handle a bunch of knives before you purchase them!

I'm extremely fortunate that a local drugstore has a Case display that looks like this:

(and that's only about 1/4 of it!)

Holy poop Andy! You really are lucky!

I must say though, I really liked the yellowish/white Sod Buster (I believe it is called?) about 5 down on the top right of the top half of the display. They have it marked as $31, is that way above normal retail or is it a good buy?

$22.95 is internet plus shipping. It is a little high but you are supporting a local store. It helps keep the display there.

From Top on the right side: Sodbuster,Barehead Trapper,Barehead Trapper,Sodbuster Jr.,Sodbuster Jr.
That is by the way a fantastic display of Case knives.

Wow! I'm jealous. Nowhere I've seen has a display like that. Go buy from them! It's interesting to see all the knives set up so you can see exactly how the patterns and sizes differ.
