Hi Folks, Just finished this subtle but cool colored Hunter. I normally like to add a bit more color to this construction, but thought I would tone it down a bit with some more subtle colors. This knife is very solid and made to be used. I am working on some of the last pieces that will have my Oregon logo on them. Comments are always welcome.
Blade is CPM 154 .158 thick and 3.625 tip to guard. O/A is 8.125. Heat treated with cryo quench and double tempered 2 hrs ea. Polished and hand finished with 2000 grit. The blade reaches .187 into pammel.
Guard is 416 stainless very carefully silver soldered with a fillet that is full and even with NO!! pin holes.
Handle is Stabilized African Black wood with African Black wood, ironwood, stainless, and black spacers. Pammel is ironwood.
Sheath is hand tooled and hand stitched 8-9 ounce leather. I use sole leather for the cam lock idea so the knife fits very nice and snug with the sounding click into place yet is easy to withdraw.
